CREDITON Town Council was recently delighted to announce that the town had received a Silver Gilt Award at the South West in Bloom Awards Ceremony in Bath.

The ceremony was held at Bath Pavilion on October 8 and Crediton In Bloom was represented by Emma Anderson, Deputy Clerk, and Bert Jewell, local horticultural expert.

As well as receiving a Silver Gilt Award, Crediton In Bloom was also awarded overall Winner in the Pennant Town North and South category.

Certificates were received for the nine It’s Your Neighbourhood entries: Crediton Library Community Garden, Peoples Park Wildlife Garden, Friends of Crediton War Memorial, Friends of Crediton Town Square, Crediton and District Lions Club, Crediton Boniface Rotary Club, Crediton Age Concern, St Lawrence Green Group and Sustainable Crediton Pollinator Group.
