CREDITON Friends of Force held a very successful Coffee Morning selling home made cakes, jams and chutneys, plants, books, wood carvings, Christmas Cards, tombola and Christmas Crafts on Friday, November 1.
The draw also took place for a beautiful quilt which was made by Yeoford Yarns ladies and donated to Force in honour of Martin Cooper, surgeon and one of the founder members of Force.
It was drawn by Joan Cooper, and a sum of £939 was raised.
Local Force fundraiser Ann Thomson said: “I would like to thank CraftSisters, Bedford and Co and Lees Outfitters for supporting us by selling tickets.
“The first prize went to J. Laskey of Crediton, second prize to J. Smith of Crediton and third prize to M. Brimacombe of Yeoford.
“It was a very successful day, making £1,100, enabling us to support this amazing Cancer Charity right here in Devon.”
