SANDFORD’S Remembrance Sunday commenced with a service at St Swithun’s Church.

Poppy wreaths were presented by Vice Chairman of Sandford Parish Council Jim Stephens and Margaret Phillips of Sandford Good Companions.

This was followed by the Civic Act of Remembrance in Sandford Square which attracted a record turnout.
