CREDITON Library will present “Murder on the Riviera” in association with the Moonstone Theatre Company on Friday, November 22, from 7pm to 9pm.

Help solve this classic murder mystery set in 1935. The plot contains clues and, of course, red herrings, but there is always the opportunity for keen sleuths to identify the culprit.

On Cap Ferrat, between Nice and Monaco, stands the exclusive Grand Hotel du Cap, the epitome of luxury and sophistication. However, all is not well.

A body has been found on the rocks below the Hotel; the body of rich industrialist Sir Michael Crispin, who has met his death from a vicious blow to the back of the head.

Sir Michael was a keen art collector and, after his death, a valued Picasso he had recently bought was found to be missing. The police are baffled.

A Scotland Yard detective will be investigating and seeks your help in solving the crime.

Together with the suspects in the case, he will tell the story of what happened that fateful night in 1935. You will have the opportunity to question the suspects.

All the clues will be there to lead to the right conclusion, but will they be correctly deduced?

Sue Lee, Library Supervisor, says: “We are excited to be working with Moonstone Theatre Company. They deliver Murder Mystery evenings full of fun and intrigue.

“We of course will be trying to identify the culprit ourselves.

“Many thanks to Mid Devon District Council for their Vibrant Town Centres funding to support the Mid Devon Libraries Arts and Cultural Programme.
