THANKS have been expressed to everyone who supported an Open Afternoon at the St Lawrence Chapel in Crediton.

It took place on a Saturday afternoon when a lot was happening in the town.

Despite that, there was a steady trickle of visitors, who mainly enjoyed their tea and cake sitting in the garden amongst the wonderful array of scent and colour with the roses.

The sum of £144 was raised for the church, with Matt Brassington winning the money jar game.

Thanks also went to everyone who made delicious cakes.
