10am to 12 noon - Sustainable Crediton Repair Cafe, Elephant on the Green, Crediton.

10am to 1pm – Busk It!, buskers, local musicians, Crediton High Street, Town Square.

10am to 4pm – Ashridge Wood Fair. Stalls, demonstrations, a barbecue, music and refreshments. Ashridge Court, North Tawton. Entry free but parking £5.

10.45am - Grand Opening, Queen Victoria Jubilee Memorial and Lych Gate after renovation works, church bells, speech at 11am, address and plaque unveiling, rededication, cream teas in the Town Hall, prayer and photo at Lych Gate.

11am to 5pm – An Inspirational Family Day, Sandford Millennium Green, £3 per adult, free for children, talks, workshops, local food, crafting, live music, stalls, etc, proceeds for Sandford Millennium Green.

1pm to 5pm - Sherwood Gardens open, Newton St Cyres, National Garden Scheme, adults £7.50, children £3, pre-booked tickets only, visit: ngs.org.uk .

7pm – Guided walk on Crediton and the Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549. Meet at Crediton Museum. £5 a head (£2 for under 16s). Spaces limited, book through [email protected] or at the museum.

7.30pm – Zeal Monachorum Village Hall Midsummer fun with Rob Barratt comedian, poet, singer. Doors open 7pm. £10 or book and pay by June 15 only £8. 01363 82606.

MONDAY 24

7.15pm – for 7.30pm start, Bow and District Historical Society talk Stained Glass by Local Firms by David Cook, to be held in St Bartholomew’s Church, Bow.  Visitors welcome, entry £4, tea/coffee biscuits included, BDHS Membership is £15, free to people under 18.

WEDNESDAY 26

10am – Crediton and Area Vintage Farmers’ Group, Mole Avon Crediton. Retired or semi-retired farmers over the age of 60 welcome.

FRIDAY 28

SATURDAY 29

7.30am to 11am - Big Breakfast, Tedburn St Mary Football Club, Barley Park, Tedburn St Mary, last Saturday of the month until September, outside and inside dining, big breakfast £10, in aid of football club funds.

10am to 4.30pm – Free one-day arts festival Crediton Arts Alive at Crediton Parish Church. Performances of music, drama and “the spoken word”.

12pm to 5pm – Fete, vintage rally, flower festival and dog show in Coldridge. Vintage tractors, classic cars, craft stalls, face-painting, a bouncy castle, music, refreshments, birds of prey, children’s entertainer, alpacas and more, in aid of St Matthew’s Church and Coldridge Village Hall.

2pm to 9pm – D’Arts Fest, festival for people with learning disabilities. 

7.30pm – Crediton Exeter Leukaemia Fund Fundraising Group charity race night. Boniface Centre. For tickets, £6 including pasty supper, telephone Karen on 07970 969846 or Glenn on 07977 916603.

SUNDAY 30

11am to 4pm - Car Show, North Tawton Rugby Club, children’s games, car boot, duck race, barbecue, bar, hot drinks, cake, all welcome.

11am to 4pm – Tour of 14 open gardens Sampford Courtenay. Buy tickets Sampford Village Hall. Ploughman’s and cream teas available at hall.

11am to 5pm – D’Arts Fest, festival for people with learning disabilities.

3pm - St Boniface Concert Society concert with Ryan Corbett playing classical accordion. Crediton Parish Church, tickets are available from A E Lee Outfitters, High Street, Crediton, on-line from www.ticketsource.co.uk , or on the door, subject to availability. The price is  £15 per concert, FREE to full time students under 30. Afternoon tea available.

The Nello Bike Ride, bike ride, starts and ends at Topsham Rugby Club, in aid of FORCE Cancer Charity.
