New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Mid Devon’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Gwalior at 8 Lowman Green, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 5

• Rated 5: The Flickering Cauldron & Kettle at 35 Gold Street, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 5

• Rated 5: Lord Fudgies Fudge and Little Cully Cafe at 64 Fore Street, Cullompton, Devon; rated on May 31

• Rated 2: Wildside Experience at Hemyock, Devon; rated on May 21

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Waterloo Cross Inn at Uffculme, Cullompton, Devon; rated on June 12

• Rated 5: The Merry Harriers at Westcott, Devon; rated on June 11

• Rated 5: Fishermans Cot Hotel at Exeter Road, Bickleigh, Devon; rated on June 7
