THE Saint Boniface Concert Society is delighted to present Ryan Corbett playing classical accordion in Crediton Parish Church on Sunday, June 30 at 3pm.

All will be welcome and Crediton Parish Church has parking available, and there is disabled access into the church.

Ryan, a classical accordionist who has been described as “one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians”,  will be playing transcriptions of Bach, Scarlatti and Mendelssohn as well as original music for the accordion.

It promises to be a really exciting and unusual concert. 

Ryan Corbett has featured as “Rising Star” in the BBC “Music Magazine”, “Artist of the Month” in Interlude HK, and “One to Watch” in “The Scotsman”.

Ryan, who was born in 1999, has won a number of prestigious prizes. 

He was awarded the Keyboard Prize, first prize and Gold Medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition, first prize at the Bromsgrove International Musicians’ competition and prizes at international accordion competitions in Italy, Germany, and China. 

Ryan is the first accordionist to be part of the prestigious BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist scheme and has given concerts across the UK, Europe and the USA.

He has appeared as soloist with major international orchestras including the Berliner Symphoniker, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.
