CREDITON Boniface Rotary Club and Crediton Town Band are set to hold a charity concert in aid of Hospiscare. 

“Proms at Downes” will take place on Saturday, July 6 from 7.30pm in the grounds of Downes House in Crediton. 

Gates open from 6.30pm for the evening of classical music featuring Crediton Town Band with Tedburn Community Choir and soloist Megan Newbery. 

Tickets cost £10 if bought in advance from Lees Outfitters, Crediton’s Hospiscare shop and online at www.creditontownband.org.uk, or £12 on the day. 

A pasty is included in the ticket price. Attendees should take chairs with them. 

All proceeds from the event will go to Hospiscare’s Hospiscare at Home service in Mid Devon.

Built in 1692, the grade II* listed Downes Estate was once the home of General Sir Redvers Buller VC. It can be found just east of Crediton off the A377.
