AN exhibition entitled “Crediton’s Treasure” has been held at Crediton Parish Church.

The free event took place from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2.

There were flower arrangements around the church, including on the pillars, font, and special decorations including an arrangement to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Attendees went along to see the Church of the Holy Cross’s fine architecture and learn more about its long history through its stained glass, woodcarvings, sculpture, vestments, 16th century silver and music.

Cream teas were also enjoyed in the adjacent Boniface Centre café.

A Grade I listed building, the bulk of the Church of the Holy Cross as seen today is from the early 15th century.

It is built on the site of a former cathedral dating to before the Norman conquest.
