THE poolside changing facilities at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton are set to be upgraded.
Having remained largely unchanged since 1998, Mid Devon District Council will modernise the facilities to “enhance comfort and accessibility for all users”.
Work will begin on Monday, March 10 and is expected to be complete by Friday, April 25.
The swimming pools will be closed from Monday, March 10 to Friday, March 14 for ceiling repairs. From Saturday, March 15 until the upgrade is complete, swimmers will not be able to change into or out of swimming gear at the leisure centre.
“We recognise that this temporary inconvenience may pose challenges for some users, and we appreciate your patience as we work to deliver a significantly improved experience,” Cllr Josh Wright (Lib Dem, Silverton) said.
“This investment ensures that Lords Meadow will continue to provide high-quality leisure facilities for the community.”
