ANYONE over the age of 50 is welcome to go along to walking football sessions in Crediton.
They take place every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre’s outdoor astroturf pitch.
Most participants are in their 60s with a few players in their 70s.
“We play for fun in a friendly and social atmosphere, with plenty of banter,” a spokesperson said.
“Stay active, have fun and enjoy the game at your own pace.
“Interested? Just turn up and have a go!”
The first two sessions are free of charge, after which it costs £4 per week to attend.
Attendees should wear suitable footwear and take a bottle of drinking water with them.
Lords Meadow Leisure Centre can be found on Commercial Road in Crediton at postcode EX17 1ER. There is ample car parking available at the leisure centre.
