Becky explained: “I’m so proud of all the class members who took part and committed to this challenge.

“So many of us have been affected by Cancer directly and indirectly and it was our way of showing our appreciation for charities like Cancer Research UK and the crucial work that they do.

“Our challenge officially ended with a special Pilates class held at the Old Town Hall in Crediton on Saturday, September 28.”

Twenty members took part from different village halls where Becky teaches, from Morchard Bishop and Upton Pyne to Witheridge and Cheriton Fitzpaine.

Becky runs classes across Mid Devon (and at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital) and is passionate about making Pilates accessible to those living in more rural parts of the county.

Participants who took part said: “Saturday's class was really special, it felt amazing to all be together doing our pilates in the same room! The perfect reward for a month of daily planks in support of Cancer Research”. Raphaelle Haywood

“Becky's classes are always great fun and it was great to meet people from Becky's other classes. We can't wait to get involved with another fundraiser in the future...”
