It was organised by a group of students from Year 10 at Queen Elizabeth’s School (Agnes, Rapha, Ellie, Elli and Emily), who have been working together since the success of their first charity tournament last year.

They were joined by other QE students who helped bake cakes and sell refreshments.

This year's tournament was a huge success despite the poor weather, and all the teams who competed are already asking for the next one.

After some fiercely fought knock out matches, St Neil's beat Wrong Foot in the final 2-1, going undefeated, but all the teams showed great sportsmanship and inclusivity.

Agnes explained: “We had teams with mixed ages, genders and abilities, and everyone was made to feel welcome, part of the reason we wanted to organise the tournament in the first place.

There was some great play during the charity tournament matches.

“We raised over £100 for the Children's Hospice South West. Thank you to Lords Meadow Leisure Centre for use of the astro pitches, and to our fantastic referees.”
