BEFORE Friday, August 30’s game at home to Honiton Town the South West Peninsula League presented Dave Blanchford with a trophy for his services to the league after his 60 year involvement with Crediton United.

Dave started his journey with the Blues in 1964 and has done pretty much anything and everything at the club apart from Treasurer and Club Secretary.

He is currently Club President.

The Club says it is “very proud to have someone like Dave who has had such a long history with the Blues”.

It continued: “It is this kind of commitment that has seen Kirton grow as a club and we ourselves would like to join the SWPL in thanking Dave for his many years of loyal service to local football, especially at our club.”
