THE almost month-long closure of the road between Yeoford and Crediton will now start and finish later, Devon County Council has said. 

The drainage and pothole-patching works are now scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 25 and end on Wednesday, August 21. 

The roads affected are from Elston Meadow to Moorlake Cross, from Tucker’s Meadow to Elston Meadow, Westwood Road, Landscore, from Gunstone Cross to Moor Lake Cross, from Three Gate Cross to Gunstone Cross, from Neopardy Cross to Three Gate Cross, from Yeoford Village to Neopardy Cross and from Station Cross to Yeoford Village Cross.   

The alternative route is through Hittisleigh, Whiddon Down, de Bathe Cross, Bow, Copplestone and Crediton.
