CREDITON Congregational Church held its bi-annual free family fun day on Saturday, July 13 - and it gave away more than 1,000 burgers to those who went along.
It took place in Newcombes Meadow from 11am to 3pm and was very well attended by families and individuals.
Everything at the event was free-of-charge, a gift from the church worshippers.
There was face painting, a bouncy castle, live music, an “inflatable gladiator duel”, tractors and engines, children’s games, displays and other activities.
Tesco and Morrisons supported the day.
Drinks and cakes were provided and the cakes ran out after a few hours.
The weather was better than expected and a few raindrops didn’t put a damper on the day, everyone had great fun.
Crediton Congregational Church can be found at 98 High Street in the town.
It meets on Sundays from 10.30am. The first Sunday of each month features a sermon accompanied by British Sign Language/ Sign Supported English.
