A NEW exhibition featuring children who took part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge is on display at Crediton Library.

There are photos of youngsters holding their favourite books alongside written reviews.

The Summer Reading Challenge is an organised incentive to encourage children to read during the summer holidays.

This year, it began on July 6 and finished on Saturday, September 14 and saw as many as 277 children take part.

To earn a medal, certificate and be entered into a prize draw, participants had to read six books and collect stickers.

The theme changes each year. This year, it was “Marvellous Makers”.

If your child would like to be featured in the display, either with a photo or written comments, speak to a member of staff at Crediton Library.

The Summer Reading Challenge is run by the Reading Agency, with illustrations by Natelle Quek.
