2pm - John Allen, Consultant Archaeologist of Exeter Cathedral, will giving a talk about the history of St. James' Church, Bondleigh, in Bondleigh Church in aid of Devon Historic Churches' Trust. Entrance is £10 including refreshments and tickets are available from Danny Semorad on 07814 877151.

MONDAY 23

7.15pm - for 7.30pm, Bow and District Historical Society, talk by Exeter Cathedral Library Librarian Emma Laws, talk to include the Exeter Book and other books and documents, visitors £4, BDHS Annual Membership £15, free to people under 18. Tea/coffee biscuits included.

7.30pm - Installation of Rev Lewis Eden as Vicar of White Cross Mission Community, St Swithun’s, Woodbury.

WEDNESDAY 25

10.15am - Meet at Crediton Museum for Guided Walk, The Bishop’s Deer Park at Crediton. A three mile walk on the edge of the town, exploring what was a mediaeval deer park. Some steep climbs. £5 per head. Book by email to: [email protected] .

6.45pm - Doors open for Meat Bingo, Crediton Football Club, in aid of Crediton ELF Fundraising Group, eyes down at 7.30pm.

THURSDAY 26

7.30pm - Talk with slides about Holy Cross Churchyard, Boniface Centre, refreshments, parking.

FRIDAY 27

10.30am to 6pm - and Saturday 28 (and Sunday 29 following 10am Mission Community Service from 11.30am to 5pm), Colebrooke Flower Festival, St Andrew’s Church, “All Good Gifts”, coffees, teas, light lunches and cream teas.

SATURDAY 28

10am to 2pm - Crediton Methodist Church, Exhibition with Flowers of Occupations such as carpenter, nurse, photographer, artist and many more. Admission is free. Tea and coffee will be available from 10am to 12 noon and soup and roll lunches from 12 noon.

10am to 12 noon - Sustainable Crediton Repair Cafe, Elephant on the Green, Crediton.

10.15am to 1pm - Be A Chorister Day, Crediton Parish Church, for prospective choir members, email to book a place at: [email protected] . All young people welcome.

11am to 2pm - Sustainable Crediton presents The Big Green Fair in the Square, Town Square, Crediton.

7pm for 7.30pm - Festival of Short Films by Devon independent film makers, including one from Crediton. Zeal Monachorum Village Hall. It’s been carefully curated to offer a mixture of genres from comedy, documentary, history to animation and more, making for a great watch. Drinks, choc ices, popcorn available. Everyone welcome. 10.30 am - Crediton Methodist Church Harvest Festival service led by Andy Jerrard, the Methodist District Agricultural Chaplain.
