THE Sandford D-Day 80 scrapbook, Sandford's seventh, is now complete and had its first launch at one of the regular St Swithuns Coffee and Chat Wednesday Morning gatherings.
The scrapbook has also been on tour.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant John Lee took it to a meeting at County Hall. In the evening, it was at Exeter Cathedral for the reading of War Horse by Michael Morpurgo accompanied by music from the National Theatre production of the book.
He reminded me of the Sandford connection to the first production of War Horse at the National Theatre when the part of Albert Narracott was taken by Sandford's Luke Treadway.
The scrapbook will now be available for viewing in the parish.
