Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 6am October 3 to 9pm October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 narrow lanes with 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Includes lane closures and hard shoulder running.

M5, from 6am October 3 to 9pm October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 narrow lanes with 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Includes a lane closure and hard shoulder running.

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm October 17 to 6am October 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 29 exit slip road closures, for electrical works, diversion M5 southbound, via M5, junction 30, diversion M5 northbound, For A30/Airport use M5, junction 30, all other traffic via M5, junction 28.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
