A PLANT sale in aid of Crediton Friends of FORCE Cancer Charity held at the home of Ann Thomson in Waresfoot Drive, Crediton was a huge success.

Yvonne Youles, chair, Crediton Friends of FORCE, said: “We had a very successful Plant and Cake sale on Saturday, May 18, raising a fantastic £494 for FORCE Cancer Charity.

“A big thank you to our own Ann Thomson for her growing skills and to everyone who helped and came along to support us.”

Most of the plants including cherry/Roma tomatoes, various herbs, pelargoniums, nicotiana, lavender and runner beans were grown by Ann herself, with some kindly given by friends.

Other plants for sale included ranunculus, courgettes and marigolds and house plants.

Last year’s plant sale raised £400 for Crediton Friends of FORCE.
