CREDITON Friends of FORCE Cancer Charity raised more than £1,000 at a recent coffee morning.
Held in Fordton on Saturday, June 15, the group welcomed as many as 75 guests in just two hours with tea, coffee, cakes and scones with jam and cream.
Chair of Crediton Friends of FORCE Yvonne Youles said: “Everyone supported our tombola, pamper hamper draw, whisky and gin draw and bought our cakes, books, marmalade and plants.
“Thanks to their generosity we raised an awesome £1,025!
“In addition to that another £68 was added to the draw for the magnificent handmade quilt, donated by the ladies of Yeoford Yarns.
“A big thank-you to everyone who helped out and special thanks to our hosts, Tricia and Ian Gulley for their hospitality.”
You can buy raffle tickets for the handmade quilt, sewed by Yeoford Yarns in memory of surgeon Martin Cooper, at more upcoming Crediton Friends of FORCE events. The winner will be announced on November 1.
