AT St Lawrence Chapel, Threshers, Crediton, we were delighted to host an end of Term Service for students from QE School, led by Matthew Tregenza.
Palm Crosses were handed out at a special Evening Prayer service on Palm Sunday.
Tony Gale, local Historian will be giving a talk on the history of the Chapel on Tuesday, April 29, starting at 7pm. It proves to be fascinating, free entry, donations welcome for Hospice and the Chapel and there will also be a raffle.
You are warmly invited to come along to the Annual General Meeting of The Friends of St Lawrence Chapel on Tuesday, May 6, at 2.30pm in the Chapel.
You can become a Friend for just £10 per year, thus helping to secure the future of this beautiful building for many more years to come. It has stood on its site for some 800 years.
Next Evening Prayer will be on Sunday, May 11 at 6pm.
Advance dates for your diary, Saturday, June 7, Open Afternoon with tea and delicious cake and Sunday, June 8, 6pm, a traditional Prayer Book service as it would have been 200 years ago. It is being put together by the West Gallery Quire who continue to be one of our biggest supporters in promoting the Chapel.
The garden is looking stunning thanks to the hard work of Jill Da Silva. It has been incredibly hard work as the garden took quite a battering in the winter storms.
