THE White Hart pub in Bow is set to go under the hammer.

Dating back to the 16th century, the Grade II listed building is up for auction with a guide price of more than £280,000.

The only pub in the village, it has owners’ accommodation with four bedrooms, two self-contained guest suites, a large beer garden and a car park.

“It may appeal to publicans or businesspeople keen to take on a going concern or others who may have other projects in mind, such as residential conversion, subject to all of the necessary consents,” Auction Appraiser Steve Appleby of Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers said.

Bidding opens on Tuesday, April 29. You can see its listing online by visiting: cliveemson.co.uk/properties/257/115/.
