IN February the Stephens Family of Swannaton, Sandford, held a Lambing Bingo in aid of FOSS, the Friends of Sandford School.

Bingo flyers were sold, and Ewes were numbered 1-90.

Then as the Ewes lambed a photo with the number was communicated via WhatsApp or Facebook and people would then cross out the number on their flyer… as the notifications started coming through the excitement level rose as people were eager to get their numbers crossed out!

We had prizes for one line, two lines and then a full house. Prizes were kindly donated by Morrisons and Tesco.

This fundraising event raised £250 for FOSS which will be spent enhancing the children’s education.

The event was well received by everyone and I’m sure it will be run again next year.
