THE winners of a new community art project’s first competition have been announced.

The 10 best drawings in Kick Start Art’s “Still Life Challenge” were by Evie in year one and Dexter in year six at Hayward’s Primary School; Arlo in year four; Ava in reception at Bow Community Primary School; Amber in year four and Eloise in year three at Landscore Primary School; Willow and Isabella in year eight, Luca in year nine and Nex in year 11 at Queen Elizabeth’s School.

Kick Start Art was launched earlier this year to encourage local youngsters to get creative and learn new skills.

Recently retired teacher Linda Williamson, who has worked in local schools for the past 30 years, is leading the initiative with support from the Crediton Heart Project.
