MID Devon Tractor Engine and Machinery Group held its Spring Working Day at Barnstaple Cross off the A377 near Crediton on Saturday, April 5.

Richard and Rosie Cheriton were thanked for allowing use of the field.

The day was an opportunity for Group members to exhibit some of their finest and rarest tractors, ploughs and machines.

The weather was fine and everyone enjoyed getting together.

The most impressive and probably the rarest tractor and plough to be seen was owned by Geoff Parfitt from Bratton Clovelly.

Geoff was ploughing with his 1925 Rumely OilPull tractor built at LaPorte, Indiana, USA.

The plough was built by Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies Ltd of Ipswich, England, and it was one of the earliest tractor ploughs ever made.
