CREDITON Photography Club is set to start its next season.

The first meeting of 2024/25 will take place on Friday, September 6 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Crediton Masonic Lodge on Union Road.

The beginning of the evening will be to welcome all members, answer questions and introduce the programme for the coming year.

Later, photographs taken by members during the summer will be shown accompanied by “holiday stories".

“Crediton Photography Club is a small and friendly group of photographers with a wide variety of interests, ages and skills,” a spokesperson said.

“The programme for 2024/25 caters for both the inexperienced and experienced photographer.

“It includes several very accomplished visiting speakers including Gordon Aspland on September 27 who will talk about his creative approach to street photography and Mike Hawkridge who will cover aspects of architecture later in the season.

“There are also competitions, practical evenings, demonstrations and presentations by experienced club members.

“If you'd like a taster of what the club is about, you can come along as a guest for up to three evenings before deciding whether to join.

“Non-members are also welcome to come along to visiting speaker evenings.”

The club will meet every Friday at Crediton Masonic Lodge. There will be 31 club meetings this season, followed by a final meeting on April 25 for end-of-year presentations and an annual general meeting.
