CREDITON Town Council has announced its events for Spring/Summer 2025.
New this year is “VE Day 80”, a picnic in the park with a 1940s theme: expect a big band, cakes and vintage surprises.
Bring a hamper, your family, friends and neighbours, and commemorate 80 years since VE Day.
The date is Saturday, May 10 in Newcombes Meadow.
Returning for its second year is “The Big Boniface Bash”.
Bringing Glasto to Crediton, there will be rock bands, food trucks, and more.
This is the event where Crediton celebrates its unique history as “the home of the Christmas tree” so there will be a Christmas tree in the park… in summer.
It will take place on Sunday, June 8, also in Newcombes Meadow.
Visitors from the Boniface Link towns of Fulda and Dokkum will also be returning in June so follow the council’s socials to learn more about the civic delegation. Get in touch if you have ideas for their visit.
Back by popular demand, Crediton Food Festival will still be focused on quality local food, food education and foodie entertainment, but expect some changes … there’s exciting news coming for small or new food businesses.
It will take place on Saturday, July 12 in Crediton Town Square.
These events have always relied on generous donations from Crediton’s business community. It is hoped that local businesses will support and donate again in 2025.
The events in 2024 were made possible by volunteers from Crediton Lions, Crediton Morrisons, Crediton Rugby Club, The Heart Project, The Turning Tides Project and the community.
Generous donations came from Crediton Dairy, Ashgrove Kitchens, Ernest Jackson, Peck and Strong, Hedgerow Print, Crediton Chamber of Commerce, Adams Home Hardware, Helmores, Hotchkiss Warburton, Nikki Blanchford, Revive, and The Ship.
Any businesses, groups or individuals interested in being involved should contact Jo Davey: [email protected] or 01363 773717.
