CREDITON Library is holding its annual Local History Day on Wednesday, July 10 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
There will be a series of four talks from local history and heritage organisations along with a range of information stands.
People can choose the talk or talks that they are interested in or go along to all four!
They are:
9.30am - Devon Family History Society are giving a talk about starting your family history – “Who Do You Think You Are?”.
11am - Tony Gale is talking about Devon women in wartime – “Patriotic Girls Are We”.
1pm - Dr Dee Ross is giving a talk – “Sacred Wells of the Westcountry”.
2.15pm - William Mearns, Crediton Library First Assistant, will be celebrating Devon Libraries Centennial by presenting – “Crediton Library and Beyond: 100 Years of Devon Libraries”.
Information Stands include Devon Family History Society, Crediton Museum, The Folklore Library and Archive and Crediton Library Reminiscence Project.
Tickets are £2 per talk or £5 for all day.
