GET ready to boogie! Crediton’s sensational charity fundraisers formerly known as “The Lurv Handles” are back and better than ever with a brand new disco extravaganza!
Now rebranded as “LurvGroove”, these local musicians are set to light up the dance floor on Saturday, October 12, for some Saturday Night Fever, all in support of Sandford School.
Join the party as “LurvGroove” delivers a night of iconic disco hits from the Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire, Gloria Gaynor, ABBA, Chic, Sister Sledge, Kool and the Gang, Donna Summer, KC and the Sunshine Band, The Jacksons, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
These fundraising dynamos have raised thousands for various charities over their impressive 25-year run, and they’re ready to do it all again with a fresh sound that’s sure to get everyone moving.
“Disco has such a great ‘feel good’ factor with appeal across all ages, that it was an obvious choice for our new sound,” says founding member and guitarist Mike Langhorne.
Together with Perdie Geering on vocals, drummer Richard Tuckett and Andy Hitchcock on keyboards, Mike completes the quartet’s line up.
With the full support of Sandford’s headteacher Hannah Fee and the “Friends of Sandford School”, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening of fun with many people planning to dress up in classic 70’s disco gear!
