FREE soup and hot drinks will soon be available at The Bookery when it launches its new “Soup and Stories” initiative.

Starting on Friday, January 24, it will be held every Friday thereafter at the Crediton bookshop from 12.30pm to 2pm. All are welcome and no registration is required.

The weekly sessions will feature volunteers reading a short story, passages from a book or poetry.

You can also bring your own story, or suggest a book or poem you would like to hear or discuss.

The soups and hot drinks will be provided by The Turning Tides Project, a Crediton-based community interest company that helps people with learning disabilities and autism.

There is wheelchair access and an accessible toilet at the bookshop.
