DID you know it is a criminal offence to allow a dog to attack Livestock, and it could result in legal action being taken in relation to the owner and the dog?
The South West has one of the highest rates of dogs attacking livestock in the UK, and that's just the incidents that are reported.
It is likely that there are more going on than what is reported to Police.
If you see a dog attacking or causing problems to livestock and it is ongoing - report it to the Police on 999 for a crime in progress!
If the incident is not ongoing, the Police still want to encourage you to call 101 or report it via the Devon and Cornwall Police Website.
The Police said: “If we don't know about it, we can't take action against it!”
If you have information on a livestock attack, you can also report intelligence to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111 anonymously.
