ONE of Devon’s Best Days Out is the Mid Devon Show, one of the finest one-day agricultural shows, which this year will take place on Saturday, July 27.

It promises to be a day filled with laughter, learning, and community spirit.

It's a celebration of all that Mid Devon has to offer and you will not want to miss it. The Main Ring headline act this year will be the internationally renowned Stannage Stunt Show which will be performing breath-taking jumps and stunts.

The UK's one and only working stunt family, the Stannage's have been touring the UK and the world with thier unique death defying show since 2004. Stannage International stunt show consists of husband and wife Mark (40) and Janine Stannage (43) and thier son Aaron (15).

In addition to the normal Main Ring favourites, there will be The Shetland Pony Racing Team, Sheep Dog Display, Young Farmers’ competitions, and a Classic Tractor Parade. Elsewhere around the showground there is a wonderful Countryside Area which will be packed full of entertainment from Ferret Racing to Birds of Prey.

The Music Fest will see performances by local groups from choirs to bands including the New Jersey Boys who will perform at the end of the show day.

Hundreds of Cattle, Sheep, Pygmy Goats and Heavy Horses compete for the top prizes.

The Devon Cavy Club will be holding its Guinea Pig Competition and one of the visitors' favourites is the Pig Exhibition. There will also be The Dog Ring, Fun Fair, Bouncy Castles, Flower and Garden Marquee, Classic Vehicles and Aldabra Giant Tortoises!

The Vintage Tractors section is sponsored by the Crediton Courier.

The famous Food and Drink Marquee has more than 50 producers from across the South West with local offerings and tastes from across the world.

Also in the Food and Drink Marquee will be the display of 800 entries in the Children's Art Competition.

In addition, the Magpie Market Marquee has 48 artisan traders with an eclectic mix of products to tempt you.

The Craft Marquee will be home to 35 local crafters with products manufactured from raw materials.

President for the 2024 Show is Ray Radford who is well-known his work with Mid Devon District Council and Devon County Council.

Ray has also been involved with the show for more than 20 years, stewarding on Show day.

The Show charity this year is Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end-of-life charity.

The Show will be held at Knightshayes, Chettiscombe, Tiverton, opening from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Visitors will be able to soak up the best of rural Mid Devon!

With a mix of dazzling entertainment, scrumptious food, unique shopping, live music, vibrant horticulture, and a peek into farm life, the Mid Devon Show is the ultimate celebration of all things Devon.
