A CREDITON couple have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary.
Brian and Maureen Boatfield, who are 93 and 92 respectively, were married at St Petroc’s Church in Padstow on March 8, 1952.
Their marriage milestone was marked with a celebration at Crediton Memory Café at the Lady Mills Centre on Deep Lane on Tuesday, March 4.
All enjoyed a slice of cake made by Mrs Boatfield’s daughter and sparkling drinks.

The couple also received a letter from His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla in the post.
It reads: “It gives us great pleasure to send you our warmest congratulations and best wishes for your 73rd wedding anniversary.”
Mr and Mrs Boatfield have four children, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
