HOME-SCHOOLED children enjoyed going along to Crediton’s community-owned bookshop for a special World Book Day event on Monday, March 3.
The Bookery held two sessions for ages four to seven and ages eight to 13 as part of its fortnight of local primary school visits.
The youngsters learned about The Bookery's new “Top Titles for 2025” collection of 24 recently published children’s books and listened to some extracts.
The collection features picture books for the very young, shorter chapter books for developing readers, longer books for older readers, dyslexia-friendly books for eight- to 12-year-old readers who lack confidence, two graphic novels and three non-fiction titles.
World Book Day falls on Thursday, March 6 this year.
