WITH Easter early this year, here at Holy Cross, we’ve barely got past Christmas and Epiphany before Lent is upon us.

We are offering three opportunities for worship and the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday, February 14 – at 10.30am in the Lady Chapel at Holy Cross (followed by tea / coffee); at 3pm at St Lawrence Chapel; and there will be a Choral Eucharist at 7.30pm at Holy Cross. 

On Friday, February 16 at 10.30am, Going for a Sing takes place when this informal group (it’s not a choir) will be singing songs beginning with the letter “E”. All welcome and there is no charge but with donations invited towards costs.

We are delighted to welcome The Turning Tides Project to Holy Cross for its 10th Anniversary celebration. There will be a variety of performances throughout from 1pm to 7pm together with refreshments. I think we can expect a fun time!

Then you can move seamlessly from the church to the Boniface Centre for the Wine Tasting starting at 7.30pm that same evening. There will be eight different wines to try, accompanied by appropriate nibbles along with tea or coffee with a chance to sample some Calvados.
