THE Women’s Inter-Club Finals Day 2024 took place recently at Torquay Golf Club where there was a great sense of excitement and anticipation for the Okehampton ladies, caddies and supporters as both the Still Cup squad and the Presidents team had battled their way through to the finals for the second year running.
The Still Cup (scratch) were first on the tee against a very strong side from Teignmouth and after some magnificent match play and despite their very best efforts Okehampton came a very close second.
The Presidents Trophy final was next between Okehampton and Tiverton, the last two remaining from the 25 teams that entered this year.
Once again it was a very close match but unfortunately Okehampton took the runners up trophy for the second time that day.

However, congratulations must go to Okehampton ladies section, it is a huge achievement to reach the finals after months of competitions through the divisional and knock out stages.
On Saturday, October 5, an individual medal competition for the Jim Butcher Trophy was played and the winner of Division One was Darren Prouse with nett 65, Ian Drayner was second with nett 67 on count back from, in third Jerry Lock, also with nett 67.
Division Two and the trophy was won by Simon James with an amazing nett 62, David Rowe was second with nett 65 and Rod Wright was third with nett 66.
Steve Squires was the winner of Division Three with a fantastic nett 62, Michael McDonald was second with nett 67 and Steve Latham was third with nett 68.
