THERE were not too many scheduled fixtures last weekend for Crediton Youth FC sides.
It was another win for the U12’s, this time 5-1 away at Exeter Panthers. Two goals from Zac Miller, and singles from Jake Stagg, Joe Walters and own goal saw them stay at the top of the table.
Road closures made it a difficult journey for the U15’s to Moors Youth. An Eli Tanner goal saw them share the points after the game ended one apiece.
It was always going to be a tough game for the U16’s against unbeaten, free scoring Cranbrook United. They were probably happy to keep the score down to 7-0 at Lords Meadow.
Plymouth Argyle was the destination for the U10’s and 11’s as they took part in the Match Day Experience at Home Park. After a year break owing to Covid the club were pleased to see this popular trip return to the club programme.
Club Chairman Adrian Harvey could not have done much better with his choice of game, as Argyle took on Wigan Athletic in a top of the table clash. The Crediton Youth players had a guided tour of the stadium and a training session with Argyle Football in the Community coaches.
After lunch they watched the game which saw a last minute Wigan goal give them a 2-1 victory. Not a bad result for the travelling Exeter City fans amongst the group.
Sunday saw the U9 girls take part in a mini tournament at Exmouth. Their coaches were again impressed by their continued development.
The U11 girls game at Cullompton was postponed, and it was a walk over the U13 girls as Torquay United Community Sports Yellows were unable to raise a side.
