SATURDAY, February 12 turned out to be a special day for Lapford AFC due to the Devon FA Chairman plus the FA member from Dolton being in attendance to present the Champions League Cup after beating The Windmill 1-0 at the Devon FA Headquarters in August 2021, and not forgetting winning away against North Molton Sports 1-0.
I believe there were some views put forward regarding the request to join the Devon League next season, so hopefully onwards and upwards.
On to the league match last Saturday (February 12) at home to Kentisbeare with another win of 2-1, the 35th home game still unbeaten.
The visitors did score first on 22 minutes, but Lapford scored on 30 minutes to go equal at half-time.
The winning goal for Lapford came on 76 minutes to make it 2-1 to Lapford.
Tomorrow (Saturday, February 19) Lapford have a home match against Beer Albion at 3pm.
Lapford has beaten Beer away 2-1 in a previous league match.
This still leaves Lapford top of the Premier Division by three points with equal matches played.
The record is as follows: P16-W14-D2-L0-44 points-GD49-Goals-F63-A14.
Good luck to all for now.
