CREDITON United AFC First Team has a new strip for the season thanks to a local family-run garage.

Courtney’s Garage at Copplestone has been run by David and Janet Martin for the past 35 years.

The family business offers a range of services including car sales, MOT, services, general work, tyres and wheel alignment.

Son Wesley is also a business partner and works at the Copplestone garage and nephew Mark runs Church View Car Sales in Crediton, which was set up by Courtney’s Garage in 1993.

Wesley attended a recent match as a guest of Crediton United, where he was thanked for the team sponsorship.

This year Crediton United Football Club is celebrating 40 years since it relocated from its old Newcombes Meadow ground to its present headquarters at Lords Meadow.

On Saturday, September 3, from 1pm onwards the Club will be holding a Grand Club Reunion for former and present players and anyone who has ever been associated with the Club is welcome to attend.

A barbecue will run from 1pm until 5pm, whilst on the field the Club’s First Team will be playing local rivals, Exwick Villa. All former players are invited and the Club is endeavouring to contact as many as possible.

If you are a former player by any chance and don’t get an invitation, please just get in touch to say you will be attending. Partners will also be welcome.

Make contact via the "Facebook" Events page “Crediton United 40yearson” or leave a message on the exclusive email address: [email protected] . The Club would like to know how many are attending for catering purposes.
