LAST Saturday was a good day for Lapford with a draw away at Bow Reserves of 1 - 1 against the big scorers from the previous week.

The first team, with a win and a clean sheet, played at home against Alphington Reserves winning 5 - 0 to take the top spot in the Premier West Division on goal difference.

The team preserved their home record of two years without a loss.

The new goal posts and nets saw action with two goals scored just three minutes into the match. The others were scored at 33, 39 and 88 minutes.

But of course, “Poacher”, Harry Leach was at it again with two goals.

Saturday, October 3 will see the reserves play at home to Bickleigh with a 3pm kick-off.

The first team will play away to Exwick Villa Reserves with kick-off at 3pm - another senior team from last season.

Good luck lads
