The cyclists, Curly Wright (Rainbow fundraiser), Dr James Hayter (Cheriton Bishop Doctors Surgery), Terry Windeatt (retired police officer), Tony Pinniger (Rainbow Living Trustee), Shirley French (retired nurse), Trudy Loveday (fundraiser), Dick Scagell (retired police officer), and Leuan Lovett (website builder) will start the the 10-day charity cycle on Tuesday, September 18 at John O’Groats.
The group will be joined by a resident of Rainbow Living, who will be accompanied, on a tandem bycicle by his mentor. They plan to cycle from Tiverton to Okehampton.
Anyone interested in supporting the event can watch along the route on Friday, September 28.
The cyclists plan to pass through Bickleigh at midday, through Thorverton around 1.30, through Shobrooke and will stop at Crediton Town Square about 2pm before heading off to Copplestone, Bow and on to Okehampton, where a garden reception will be held in the Kings Arms at 5pm.
A home-coming reception will be held at Fingle Glen Golf Club on Sunday, October 7. Tickets priced at £9.95 per head will include a buffet lunch and an auction.

The group hopes to raise £5,000 and has so far raised £3,000.
