HAVING heard about the London Marathon Challenge that Mrs Bedford (Assistant Head, Hayward's Primary School) is taking on, one of the school’s pupils has been inspired to run his own marathon challenge over the Easter holidays.
Leo Hargreaves is going to be running a very impressive 26.2 miles over the two week break, raising valuable funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK which is the same charity Mrs Bedford is raising for.
This charity supports a family attending Hayward's Primary School.
Muscular Dystrophy UK supports people and families who are living with the condition.
They provide support groups to help them with everyday life, equipment, guidance and information days. They also provide vital research into treatments to try and better the lives of people living with the condition.
The London Marathon is in its 45th year and this year there are a record breaking amount of people running with more than 56,000 participants.
This is the biggest fundraising event in the world and raises millions of pounds each year for very worthwhile charities.
