STREET cleaning will take place in Exeter Road, Crediton between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, March 23.
The plan is to clean up the area of raised footpath/walkway from the former Woods Salvage down to Four Mills Lane.
Volunteers are invited to take part.
The work is organised by Crediton Urban Taskforce (CUT), and is a volunteer-led initiative which was formed following a suggestion by Crediton Town Councillor Steve Huxtable.
Former Crediton Town Councillor Paul Vincent suggested the title of the group.
The action focuses on improving a long-neglected area at the entrance to the town.
Crediton Town Council has allocated some funding towards CUT’s work for tools, etc.
The timetable of CUT actions will soon be available on the Crediton Town Council website, under Facilities, Crediton Urban Taskforce: https://www.crediton.gov.uk/Facilities/Crediton-Urban-Taskforce-CUT- .
Kirtonians are welcome to sign up there. They will receive up-to-date information about future events and can take part in creating a better look of Crediton.
