COPPLESTONE Methodist Church's annual event in support of farmers at home and overseas took place recently, raising £300 for the Farming Community Network (FCN) and showcasing Fair Trade chocolate tasters, and Fair Trade bananas courtesy of Morrisons.
The organiser, Anne Greig, explained that Richard Sampson, new Devon Co-ordinator for FCN, was present as were Cllr Frank Letch and Cllr Natalia Letch.
Anne said that the money was raised from the homemade cake and Nearly New stalls, together with donations for the Fair Trade tea and coffee.
She thanked all who supported the event or helped in any way.
