A SURPRISE award was presented at the 40th Anniversary Dinner of Crediton Town Band.
Arthur Arscott was made a Life Member in recognition of his long and outstanding contribution to Crediton Town Band and presented with a framed certificate.

Guest speaker for the dinner, which was held at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, was long-serving band member John Glanfield.
He first played for the band in 1945.

Paul Evans gave the toast to the King and thanked all those who had made the Band a success for the last 40 years, those who play and those behind the scenes.
The dinner was held to celebrate 40 years since the Town Band was reformed in 1984.
