THE 1st Crediton Scout Group is once again offering a postal service for Christmas cards this year within Crediton town and the villages of Newton St Cyres and Copplestone.
Stamps are very reasonably priced and cost just 40p each or three for £1.
Last posting for cards will be Thursday, December 12.
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will deliver the cards within the built up areas of the town and the same in the villages between December 15 and 17.
People can purchase the Scout stamps and post their cards at Creedy Kitchens, Crediton Congregational Church, CJ Interiors (previously the location of Evans Newsagents), Age Concern Centre (Deep Lane), Quicke’s Farm Shop and Crediton Tree Festival (at the Boniface Centre Cafe).
Please note these venues will only be able to accept cash and it is helpful if you have the correct change.
Alternatively, stamps can be purchased from any member of the 1st Crediton Scout Group.
There are also post boxes where people can post stamped cards at Morrisons and Tesco (Wellparks). There are no stamp sales at these locations.
The Scouts are really grateful to all of these venues for their support.
Any elderly/housebound local resident who would like the Scouts to collect post from their home, or if anyone has any queries, please email Helen, Beaver Leader/joint Group Scout Leader, 1st Crediton Scout Group using: [email protected] .
Helen said: “Thank you for supporting 1st Crediton Scouts.
“Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
Last year the 1st Crediton Scout Post service stamp sales raised £220 for Scout funds after 540 cards were delivered.
