HEADLINER, Rockit Rich of Urban Displays wowed the crowds with his high-energy bike trials stunts at Copplestone’s Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 20.

It was held inside the school due to the torrential rain at the time but there was still plenty to see and do.
Copplestone Community Choir sang, children also sang and played musical instruments and there was also a bouncy castle, face painting and many stalls.

There was a toy tombola, huge raffle, human fruit machine, cake stall, sweets, jewellery, Splat the Rat, free crafts for children, tattoos, hook a duck, sweet pong, crepes and refreshments.

There was a display of the plans for the proposed Copplestone Community Hall, which, it is proposed, would be built near the school.
One of the directors, David Brassington said that the village has no hall other than the small Methodist Hall and needs a larger more flexible community and social centre.

All profits from the day will be split between Copplestone PTA and Copplestone Community Hall.
